Brakeman Ultra Timed Brake Controllers are actiivated by stepping on the vehicles brake pedal or by using a manual lever to generate a signal to the trailer brakes which smoothly increases over time. Some timed brake controllers allow for an adjustment called a "Sync Control" which speeds up or slows down the rate of the power increase or "ramp timing". (This is comparable to easing down on the brake pedal or hitting the brakes hard). Brakeman Ultra Brake Controllers are great in situations where vehicle design demands sideways, straight up and down or even upside down installation, as the unit doesn't require any leveling during installation to operate properly.
