Fifth Wheel Hitches
Fifth wheel hitch utilize a set of attachment rails permanently
attached to the bed of your truck either in the bed or underneath it. The fifth wheel unit can be removed easily from the truck when not in
use, leaving the mounting rails in the truck. One advantage of this style over the older
non-removable units is the ability to easily upgrade to a heavier duty 5th wheel
hitch without having to change the mounting systems, as well as the benefit of
available bed space when not using the 5th wheel hitch assembly. You can also use a
detachable above bed gooseneck plate for towing gooseneck trailers.
How To Select Your 5th Wheel
Package:
- Select the proper 5th
Wheel for your needs.
- Select the proper installation kit for
your vehicle.
Do You Need A
Regular or a Slider Style?
-
If you are towing with a
standard (or short bed) truck, you most likely will need a slider style
unit. When maneuvering tight turns such as backing up a slider unit
unlocks and slides towards the rear of the truck, providing room for
proper clearance at the cab. It then unlocks and slides forward for
regular towing. A trailer or camper with an extended pin box is also
recommended.

What is the difference between Reese and Drawtite?
Actually Reese and Drawtite are
now the same company, and share the same product lines. We generally
advertise and ship Drawtite Fifth Wheel Hitches, but will ship Reese branded fifth wheels when the Draw-tite
part number is out of stock or unavailable. Rest assured they are
exactly the same unit with a different sticker. If this is a concern to
you please contact us for more information.
